I prefer to keep in contact via discord but I can use other methods (telegram, twitter, email, etc) if you prefer! I’ll send photo updates as the project progresses but you’re also free to request updates at any time. Please note that Mantacraft is NOT a full-time fursuit making business and I juggle other projects and art commissions at the same time as costume commissions, so the turnaround time I give you for your projects takes these into account.
Note that we keep all head base patterns for future projects. This is just the bare base/skull of the character without all of their defining features. We may use this in other projects or offer the base pattern in our etsy store so long as this can be feasibly used for other characters without being too similar to your character. Please let us know in advance if this will be an issue for you.

WHAT TO EXPECT - The process of ordering a custom costume with Mantacraft
- Mantacrafts opens commission applications.
Commission requests are not first come first serve- I select which I want to work on. I will choose a few of these to provide quotes to, as quotes take time and labor to calculate, I will only provide quotes to projects I am interested in taking on at the time. I will notify all applicants who provided a contact method whether or not they will be receiving a quote. - Quotes are sent out to chosen applicants and client-maker discussion begins.
Here's where we can discuss the more specific details of the costume, start date, turnaround time, expectations, and if a payment plan is involved. - I choose projects to officially accept and will send invoices and a copy of my current TOS to clients. I will notify all clients who recieved quotes whether they were chosen or not.
- Work begins.
Once the deposit is made, the project can begin and I will send you photo updates as the project progresses. Initially I will begin color matching and checking in with the client before ordering fabrics where possible. I will let you know if there are any unplanned disruptions or delays and the client can request an update at any time. - Upon project completion, we can discuss shipping options and extras such as tracking, insurance, and anti-theft measures. Please note costumes can be large and may incur expensive shipping fees. We can research shipping options prior to the project beginning, but note that prices may fluctuate and increase over time and with COVID affecting global shipping.
- Once shipping is paid for, I'll let you know when I will be shipping out your project! This is done as soon as I can manage and not on days which the post office is closed. Please keep in mind there may be delays from the shipping handler due to covid-19.
